Our Team

Nico, a seasoned Soil Scientist with a Master's degree in the field, provides consulting services to a diverse clientele. His clients range from some of the largest agricultural enterprises to small-scale farmers in the Western Cape of South Africa. Additionally, Nico extends his expertise to companies operating outside the agricultural sector.
With a family heritage deeply rooted in farming that spans generations, Nico's early exposure to agriculture has infused him with a wealth of knowledge and makes him an invaluable asset to any team.
Nico's passion for the soil, plants and the people working it, is his drive to get involved and being committed to R62G.
In his free time, Nico relaxes with family and friends, soaking up the great outdoors by hitting the tracks, teeing off on the golf course, and pedalling away on his bike.

Maderi is the proud owner of M3 Accountants, her own accounting firm. Hailing from a family deeply rooted in agriculture, her family's ongoing involvement in farming and her upbringing on a farm has provided Maderi with a distinct vantage point. This unique perspective enables her to understand, and how to best approach the daily challenges that farmers encounter.
Her passion for people and their well-being is the driving force behind Maderi getting involved with R62G (R62 Growth Initiative).
When Maderi is not crunching numbers and diving into tax stuff for her clients, she relaxes with her husbands and kids to unwind.

Niël started his career as a salesperson for a printing company and, in the early 2000s, ventured into farming alongside his family's farm in the Western Cape, South Africa.
Presently, their agricultural endeavours include deciduous fruit and some wine grapes. Niël's active engagement in organized agriculture dates back to 2003, marked by his service on several boards and committees. To this day, he continues to be a member of a board and involved in committees.
Niël's dedication and enthusiasm for both agriculture and the well-being of his community serve as the driving force behind his active participation in R62G and his broader endeavours aimed at fostering positive change.
When Niël isn't busy with the serious stuff, he's all about that quality time with family and friends and whipping up some culinary “masterpieces” for them (whether they involve flames or not), and when the stars align and the schedule allows, he transforms into a weekend warrior on his trusty old Silverback, hard tail MTB.
